Specification
General specification
High visibility 270 degree labelling complying to BS5499-1.
Carcass and doors are manufactured from 0.9mm high grade steel to provide maximum strength. The door frame compartment dividers or plinths are welded for additional strength and security. Each door is fitted with an internal, welded door strengthener* and the hinges are a high quality 5 knuckle design. 5 Knuckle Butt Hinge Grade:CS4 EN 1935:2002 Grade 12. Hinge Weight Loading 11.5kg. *Door strengthener not needed on some products. Air vent system on each door, not available on some products due to small door size.
All Probe products including the plastic elements have the revolutionary protection of ACTIVE coat TM Protecting from harmful microbial organisms including MRSA. Probe lockers are designed and manufactured in the UK, conforming to BS4680:1996 ‘Standard duty’ and ISO 9001:2000 operated under an Environmental system ISO 1400:2004
FIREZERO tested and certified
Probe Steel Products are tested and approved in line with the European Standard – EN 13501-1: 2007 +A1: 2009 relating to fire performance. All Probe steel products have been tested as ‘non-combustible’ i.e. they will not combust, increase or sustain any fire within their proximity.
Lock Options
Probe Type A Cam Lock
Probe’s standard lock has a micro sprung 10-disc lock featuring a massive 3000 serial combinations – all exclusive to Probe. Two keys are included with each standard lock.
Master keys for standard cam locks are available as an extra option.
Probe Type B Hasp & Staple Lock
Attractive design allowing easy use of padlock fitting. Shank diameter maximum 7mm and minimum 5mm. Padlock sold separately. Available to purchase separately if you need to change your existing lock.
Probe Type C Radial Pin Lock
Radial pin lock – 10,000 COMBINATIONS
This Radial Pin Lock is designed for greater levels of security. Two keys are included with each lock.
Probe Type P – 4 Digit Mechanical Combination Lock
An effective 4 digit code reprogrammable combination lock with 10,000 possible combinations, making losing keys a thing of the past.
Suitable for multi user applications. Master override key sold separately.
Type K – White
Type K – Black
Available as two variants with the same functionality but different colours – Type K-White and Type K-Black
Re-programmable and easy to operate. 10,000 possible combinations, set and easily changed by users using Override
Key, sold separately.
Probe Type SPU – Public Auto Scramble Combination Lock
4 digit combination lock set in multi user public mode. Auto scramble feature for added security. Resets after each operation – ideal for hotdesking.
Probe Type SPR – Private Auto Scramble Combination Lock
4 digit combination lock set in single user private mode. Auto scramble feature for added security.
Probe Type L – Digital Combination Lock
Reprogrammable digital combination lock can be used in private or public use mode. Supplied in private (single user) mode. Multi user option available (public mode) – please specify when ordering. Will be fitted horizontally on small compartment lockers. Emergency override key sold separately.
Probe Type N RFID
The Nimbus RFID digital lock provides contactless locking and is compatible with MiFare Classic 13.56MHz cards and fobs and incorporates a membrane touchpad for ease of programming.
Probe Type GD Gemini Digital Combination Lock
This small and innovative lock is available in both flush and surface mount and in a silver or black finish. The small footprint and option of vertical or horizontal orientation make the Gemini a neat and flexible choice. Master override key sold separately.
Probe Type GM Gemini Mechanical Combination Lock
This small and innovative lock is available in both flush and surface mount and in a silver or black finish. The small footprint and option of vertical or horizontal orientation make the Gemini a neat and flexible choice. Master override key sold separately.
Type H Coin Return / Retain
These locks are used with £1 coins or tokens, for either return or retain.

You have the option of purchasing a master key specific to the lock you have chosen on your order.
Door numbering & Keyring Options
Probe lockers are supplied with black plastic card holder surrounds which can hold a small square card. Identify your locker compartments by choosing a number sequence for your lockers.
Split-ring keyrings
Choose a numbered keyrings to match keys to locks.
Nesting bolts
If you plan to install your lockers side by side, you can bolt the lockers together for a flush, neat finish. The Lockers come with pre-drilled holes in the carcass ready for installation. Available in packs of 100.
Delivery
UK Mainland delivery included to business addresses only.
Delivery will be approximately 20 working days from receipt of your order. This schedule may vary, please check prior to placing your order.
We provide delivery free of charge to UK mainland business addresses only and we can do this by supplying to you on a non-time specified schedule. This means that we will advise you of your delivery on a week ending basis and your order will be delivered during that week within normal business hours.
Delivery will be to your confirmed delivery address roadside/kerbside or loading bay area only and is subject to there being no delivery vehicle access restrictions and our delivery service does not include taking your ordered items into the building. All products are delivered on unmarked vehicles and will be delivered on the most economical size of vehicle in accordance with the size of order and we ask that you specify any delivery access restrictions in advance of placing your order as they will possibly affect the vehicle required for delivery and the price quoted.
Unfortunately, we are unable to leave deliveries if there is no one at the delivery address to take receipt. Should this happen, we will contact you to rearrange delivery, but we may have to charge for this redelivery.
Products are not delivered on pallets. Products are supplied plastic shrink wrapped only. Other than collections all goods will be delivered to the nearest point of entry only.

Manufacturer’s Warranty
This product is covered by a Limited Manufacturer’s Warranty which covers defects in materials and workmanship. Locker body, shelves, doors and hinges are covered for 7 years whilst all other items including locks are subject to the standard 12-month warranty, from the date of delivery or installation.
